GOLDEN TRIANGLE ON BICYCLE

Review:

After exploring the Delhi, we move to Agra and admire the marble wonder  "Taj Mahal". From here we drive to Fatehpur Sikri, to visit the abandoned town of Akbar.Here we commence cycling to Bharatpur Bird Sanctury. Onward cycling will be through villages and back roads up to Jaipur where we will explore the Rajput highlight before driving back to Delhi.

DAY 01.   ARRIVE DELHI 
Morning arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Afternoon combined guided tour of Old and New Delhi includes Jammia Masjid Mosque, Cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni chowk, Red Fort, drive through India Gate and Parliament house, Qutab Minar and Humayuns Tomb.

DAY 02.   DELHI - AGRA                      Drive 202 Km 4 Hrs                                                                      Morning drive to Agra, en-route visit Mathura the birthplace of Lord Krishna and the tomb of Emperor Akbar at Sikandra. Arrive and check in at hotel. Afternoon tour includes, marble wonder the -Taj Mahal- and Itmad-ud-Daula-s tomb, built over the years 1622 and 1628 AD. by Nur Jahan, the favorite queen of Jahangeer in the memory of her father. Explore Agra fort the citadel of emperor Akbar built in 1565 AD.

DAY 03.   AGRA - FATEH PUR SIKRI                                 Drive 36 Km 1 ½ Hrs.                           FATEHPUR SIKRI - BHARATPUR                                      Cycle 20 Km
Morning drive to deserted city of Akbar at Fatehpur Sikri and explore this monument. After lunch cycle to Bharatpur, arrive and check-in at hotel for overnight stay. Late afternoon bird watching by cycle rickshaw through Keoladeo Ghana National Park.   

DAY 04.   BHARATPUR - DEEG                           Cycle 36 Km
DEEG - NAGAR                                                   Cycle 22 Km
After breakfast cycle to Deeg, once the favorite summer resort and second capital of Bharatpur state, its main attraction is the massif fort, built in 18th century, the Palace, built by Mahraja Suraj Mal between the year 1756-63 and busy local market. En route lunch. From Deeg we continue cycling up to Nagar. Today-s cycling will be through interior roads and typical villages. Dinner and overnight in tents.

DAY 05.   NAGAR - ALWAR                         Cycle                                                                     ALWAR - SARISKA                                       Drive 40 Km 
Morning cycle up to Alwar, once an important Rajput state and emerged in the 18th century under the Pratap Singh, who pushed back the rulers of Jaipur to the south and the Jats of Bharatpur to the east. After exploring the Alwar fort we will drive to Sariska Tiger reserve and National park. It is one of the 13 projects to save Tigers in India, it covers 800 Sq Km (including a core area of 498 Sq Km) and has Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Wild Boar and Tiger, lunch en route. Late afternoon game drive. Overnight hotel.

DAY 06.   SARISKA - AMBER               Cycle 85 Km                                                               AMBER - JAIPUR                                  Drive 37 Km
Morning cycle to Amber Fort, explore this farmer capital of Jaipur rulers. After lunch drive to Jaipur arrive and check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure

DAY 07.   IN JAIPUR
Morning visit Hawa Mahal constructed in 1799. This five storey building, overlooking the main street of the bustling old city, is a stunning example of Rajput artistry, with pink, delicately honeycombed sandstone windows. City Palace, in the heart of the old city, the outer wall was built by Jai Singh, but other additions are much more recent, some dating from the start of the 20th century. Jantar Mantar an observatory begun by Jai Singh in 1728. The Jaipur observatory is the largest and best preserved of the five he built and was restored in 1901. and Market.

DAY 08.   JAIPUR - DELHI  Drive 258 Km 5 ½ Hrs.
Morning drive to Delhi, en-route brief halt at midway for refreshments. Arrive Delhi by lunchtime. Arrive and Check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for last minute shopping and personal activities. 

DAY 09.   DEPARTURE                                                                                                        Transfer to airport for onward / homeward journey
